Player of the Week
Cassidy Harrison (Jr., G), Becker College
Junior Cassidy Harrison (Foxborough, Mass.) opened her season with a red-hot shooting performance at the Worcester City Tournament. The junior average 24 points over the two games, shooting 60 percent from the floor, 60 percent from behind the arc and 100 percent from the free throw line. In Becker’s win over Clark, Harrison poured in 32 points with three steals to carry the Hawks to a 70-66 win, their first ever victory over the Cougars. She was named to the Worcester City All-Tournament team for her efforts. She tallied nine points in a loss to UNE on Monday, but extended her free throw streak to a perfect 19-for-19 to open the season.
Rookie of the Week
Nyasia Reeves (Fr., F), Bay Path University
Freshman Nyasia Reeves (Peekskill, N.Y.) scored 13 points and pulled down 17 rebounds in her first collegiate game, posting the double-double in a win over Mount Holyoke. The rookie also made a difference on the defensive end, tacking on three steals.
