HENNIKER, N.H. - The New England College field hockey team fell to Husson University in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) semifinals, 4-0.
The Pilgrims will see their season come to a close with a 9-10 record overall and a 6-0 record in the NECC. The nine wins for the Pilgrims are the most since the 2012 season. Husson will advance to the NECC championship and will improve to 4-12 with a 1-3 record in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC).

HOW IT HAPPENED
Meredes Pease got Husson on the board with the first two goals of the contest. Pease received a pass from Allison Leighton to break the scoreless tie. The second goal Pease scored came just over four minutes later when she was standing on the goal line and Arika Brochu sent a ball towards her. She tipped the ball into the cage. Sadie Royer would add another goal in the 24th minute to give the Eagles a 3-0 lead. Haley Ward gave the Eagles a 4-0 lead just three minutes into the second half.
Christine McNeil (Pawcatuck, Conn.) made two saves on six shots on goal. The Pilgrims did have a defensive save as well. Andrea Shaggy made five saves in the complete game shutout for the Eagles.
