NECC Senior Class of the Week: Eastern Nazarene College Baseball

This week's senior class of the week goes to the Eastern Nazarene College baseball Class of 2020. This group helped the Lions to 57 wins in four years and propelled the team to the 2019 NECC Tournament, its first postseason appearance since 2007. Last spring, Eastern Nazarene finished with 21 wins – the most single-season victories since 2004. 

Joshua Bombard (Rutland, Mass.)

A four-year member of the program, Joshua Bombard has played in 104 career contests and has owns a career batting average of .269 with a .355 on-base percentage. He has notched 87 career hits, including 18 extra-base hits and two home runs to go with 61 runs scored, 37 RBIs, and 11 stolen bases. Playing all across the outfield throughout his collegiate career, Joshua Bombard posted a .967 fielding percentage with 167 putouts and 10 assists.

Anthony Castrogiovanni (Bohemia, N.Y.)

In two seasons with the program, Anthony Castrogiovanni saw action in 13 contests. He recorded three career base hits, including one double, while driving in one RBI and scoring four runs.

Bobby Fulkerson (Anaheim, Calif.)

In his only year at Eastern Nazarene, Bobby Fulkerson appeared in all 11 games and posted an on-base percentage of .378 while batting .206. He drew a team-best eight walks while registering seven hits and seven runs scored with six RBIs. Bobby Fulkerson also made one start on the mound and collected a save in his only relief pitching appearance of the spring. He tossed eight innings and tallied a pair of strikeouts.

Dylan Louviaux (Mohnton, Pa.)

Dylan Louviaux appeared in 111 career games in four seasons with the Lions. He has collected 86 career hits, drove in 41 RBIs, scored 60 runs, and stole 20 bags. Dylan Louviaux has compiled a career batting average of .265 to go with a .353 on-base percentage. He has chalked up 17 extra-base hits - 14 doubles, one triple, and a pair of home runs. Patrolling left field and right field throughout his career, Dylan Louviaux boasts a .984 career fielding percentage with 173 catches and 12 assists.

Tommy Merrick (Brockton, Mass.)

Tommy Merrick has seen action in 30 games in his three years at Eastern Nazarene. In 16 appearances out of the bullpen, he has pitched 29.1 innings and sports a career record of 1-1 with a pair of saves and 18 strikeouts to his credit.

Steven Pesce (Harrison, N.Y.)

A four-year member of the ENC baseball program, Steven Pesce has appeared in 122 games and sports a .349 career batting average, a .412 on-base percentage, and a .489 slugging percentage. He has ranks third in program history with 147 career base knocks, ranks tied for second in program history with eight triples, and ranks second with 93 RBIs. He has also belted five career homers, landed 28 doubles, scored 64 runs, and stolen 14 bases. A two-time conference Player of the Week, Steven Pesce was named to the All-NECC second team as a junior.

Briley Seiter (Bellevue, Ky.)

Briley Seiter made 31 career pitching appearances and started 19 contests on the hill in four collegiate seasons. He has pitched 117.1 innings and boasts a career record of 7-6 with two saves. Briley Seiter hurled one career complete game and fanned 81 batters in his career. Last season, he claimed a spot on the All-NECC third team.


The NECC began competition in the 2008-09 academic year and current member institutions compete across 15 sports. The NECC membership focuses on providing athletic competition among institutions that share similar academic aspirations and are committed to the importance of the total educational experience for students engaged in sports. Current members include Bay Path University, Becker College, Dean College, Eastern Nazarene College, Elms College, Lesley University, Mitchell College and New England College.
