MANSFIELD, MASS.- This week's senior class of the week honors the seniors from the Bay Path University softball team. This group helped lead the Wildcats to their first-ever NECC Championship, and subsequently, NCAA Regional appearance in 2018. Overall, the seniors posted a 62-56 record in their career. They started off their senior season with a 2-0 start before it was cut short due to COVID-19.
Lilly West (Goshen, Mass.)
The catcher is a career .318 hitter, and was a 2018 All-NECC second team selection. She drove in 68 runs over the course of her career, and scored 47 of her own. She had a hot start to her senior campaign, going 4-for-6 at the plate in two games, before the season ended prematurely. She earned Del Malloy Sportsmanship team honors in her senior season. The psychology major is a three-time All-NECC Academic All-Conference honoree.
Taylor Feraco (Oxford, Mass.)
The first baseman hit .257 in her career, with her best offensive season coming in 2017, when she hit .344 with 21 RBI. In her career, Feraco totaled 47 RBI and 41 runs scored. The Forensic Science Major is a three-time NECC Academic All-Conference honoree.
ABOUT THE NECC
The NECC began competition in the 2008-09 academic year and current member institutions compete across 15 sports. The NECC membership focuses on providing athletic competition among institutions that share similar academic aspirations and are committed to the importance of the total educational experience for students engaged in sports. Current members include Bay Path University, Becker College, Dean College, Eastern Nazarene College, Elms College, Lesley University, Mitchell College and New England College.
