What I'll Miss: Elms College Edition

What I'll Miss: Elms College Edition

Tyla Risucci (Watertown, Conn.) is a softball student-athlete at Elms College. A biology major, Risucci is a member of the class of 2021.

What I will miss the most about softball and school is having a distraction that no matter what is going on in my life, I can put it aside and focus just on softball. I miss being outside with my teammates and seeing all my other friends from school. However, what I miss the most is being with my Elms family.

Haley Richard (Monson, Mass.) is a two-sport athlete at Elms College, competeting in women's soccer and women's lacrosse.  A member of the class of 2020, Richard recently graduated with a nursing degree.

I'll miss the friends that I made at Elms that grew to become my family and sisters. I'll miss both my sports families who kept me sane the last four years of school. And I'll miss being able to finish my senior year of lacrosse on Leary, where I fell in love with Elms years ago.

Kevin Banas (Hatfield, Mass.) is a baseball student-athlete at Elms College. A member of the class of 2020, Banas recently graduated with a degree in criminal justice.

I’ll miss the privilege of competition. The luxury of competing with 25 brothers with the same goal, and enjoying every second of the journey.

This series of features allows NECC student-athletes to tell their story about what they’ll miss following the cancellation of the spring season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We celebrate our student-athletes by allowing them to share their stories about both their academic and athletic careers.
