MITCHELL TO HOST 2010 NECC CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIPS
NEW LONDON, Conn.—The New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships will be hosted by Mitchell College at Harkness Memorial State Park in Waterford this Saturday, October 30th beginning with the women’s 5K race at 11:00 a.m.
The men’s 8K race will start at noon following the women’s championship race. This is the third year for the NECC Cross Country Championships. NECC member institutions running on the women’s side include Bay Path College, Elms College, Daniel Webster College, 2008 & 2009 champions Lesley University, Mitchell College, Newbury College, Southern Vermont College and Wheelock College. Conference programs that compete on the men’s side include Elms College, 2008 champions Daniel Webster College, 2009 champions Lesley University, Mitchell College, Newbury College and Southern Vermont College.
