Needham Selected as NECCs Nominee for NCAA Woman of the Year
BOSTON, MA - Recent Wheelock College graduate Kate Needham (North Conway, N.H.), a two-year captain of the women's cross country and men's tennis teams, has been selected as the New England Collegiate Conference's (NECC) nominee for the 20th annual NCAA Woman of the Year award.

Lesley University Sweep 2009 NECC Men's and Women's Cross Country Championship Titles
CHICOPEE, Mass.- The Lesley University Lynx take both the 2009 NECC Men's and Women's Cross Country Championhsips today at the Chicopee Memorial State Park hosted by Elms College. Lesley senior male harrier Fran Cusick (Lexington, Mass.) and freshman female runner Noa Kupfer (Woodbridge, Mass.) were named the 2009 Male and Female Cross Country Runners of the Year respectively for crossing the finish line both with first place honors.

Elms and Bay Path Earn Weekly Women's Cross Country Accolades
ATTLEBORO, Mass.-Elms College junior Alycia Dabrowski (Chicopee, Mass.) was the first NECC harrier to cross the line at 22:52 for the Blazers. In the WNEC Invitational, Dabrowski finished 43rd with Elms placing 13th for the meet.

Lesley Lynx Lock Cross Country Honors
ATTLEBORO, Mass-For the fourth straight week, Lesley University freshman Noa Kupfer (Woodbridge, Mass.) was awarded runner of the week honors. She finished 182nd at the All-New England Invitational. Kupfer crossed the finish line with a 20:19 time. She led her team to a 45th place finish with 1328 points running against NCAA Division I, II and III programs.

Lesley Lynx Earn Both Weekly Women's Cross Country Honors
ATTLEBORO, Mass.-For the third straight week, Lesley University freshman Noa Kupfer (Woodbridge, Mass.) was awarded runner of the week honors. She finished 13th in the Pop Crowell Invitational. Kupfer crossed the finish line with a 19:57 time. She led her team to a 13th place finish with 341 points ahead of NECC schools Wheelock, Newbury and Daniel Webster.

Kupfer, Needham and Arnold All Nab A Piece of Women's Running Honors
ATTLEBORO, Mass.-For the second straight week, Lesley University freshman Noa Kupfer (Woodbridge, Mass.) was awarded runner of the week honors. Kupfer crossed the finish line with a 19:44 time. Wheelock College senior Kate Needham (North Conway, N.H.) led the Wildcats to a 5th place finish recording her personal best 5K time of 22:59, shaving close to a minute off her time.

Lynx Sweep Women's Cross Country Honors
ATTLEBORO, Mass.-Lesley University freshman Noa Kupfer (Woodbridge, Mass.) finished 69th out of 301 harriers in the UMass Dartmouth Invitational. Kupfer crossed the finish line with a 19:55 5K time breaking the Lesley freshman record. She led the Lynx to a 36th team finish out of 42 teams for a 921 score.

Kuntz Takes Both Player and Rookie Runner Honors
ATTLEBORO, Mass.- Southern Vermont College freshman Maggie Kuntz (South Hadley, Mass.) finished 26th out of 115 harriers at the 5K SUNY Cobleskill Invitational. Her 5K time of 21:11 was one of the top ten best finishes in the Mountaineers All-Time Record Book. The Mountaineers finished in 12th place as a team with 328 points.

Fillback and Kupfer Share Weekly Women's Cross Country Awards
ATTLEBORO, Mass.--Newbury College junior Alaina Fillback (Portland, Conn.) finished 26th overall in the Early Bird Open 5K. Her 5K time of 28:54 helped her team to a great start amongst collegiate women Fillback placed 18th.

Lesley Tabbed Preseason Favorite in NECC Womens Cross Country Poll
ATTLEBORO, Mass. Lesley University has been tabbed as the preseason favorite to capture the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) womens cross country championship, it was announced today by Commissioner Del Malloy. Voting for the preseason poll was conducted among the NECCs head womens cross country coaches.

Bigos Named NECC Honoree for the 2009 NCAA Woman of the Year Award
CHICOPEE, Mass. Recent Elms College graduate Jill Bigos (South Hadley, Mass.) was named New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) honoree for the 2009 NCAA Woman of the Year Award.
