Goff and Ferland Reach the Finish Line with NECC Honors Again

 

RUNNER OF THE WEEK - Lesley sophomore Charlotte Goff (Osterville, Mass.), for the fifth consecutive week, grabs NECC runner honors. Goff finished 1st out of 124 harriers at the Roger Williams Invitational. Her 5K time of 19:56.28 was the fasted time on the day. The team placed 5th out of 14 teams with a team score of 119 points. This marks the first time a Lynx runner (male or female) has ever won a major cross country event.

 

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK - Bay Path freshman Caitlin Ferland (Vergennes, Vt.) has been honored four times as both Runner and Rookie of the Week.  Ferland placed 50th out of 206 runners. She was the top NECC female runner with a 5K time of 21:23.97.
