PLAYER OF THE WEEK — For the second straight week, Lesley University sophomore middle hitter Amanda McCracken (Eldersburg, Md.) led the Lynx to a 2-1 week going 2-0 in NECC play. Lesley defeated Mitchell 3-1 and Bay Path 3-0, while falling in non-conference play 3-0 to Mt. Ida. McCracken hit a sizzling .535 attack percentage including a .630 hitting percentage in the sweep of Bay Path tallying 18 kills. She also put up huge numbers with 21 kills and no errors in the victory over Mitchell with a .600 hitting percentage. For the week she had 48 kills (4.80 per set), three digs (0.33 per set) and ten blocks (1.00 per set).
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK — Bay Path College freshman right side hitter Kate Bartels (Dalton, Mass.) helped lead the Wildcats to their first-ever conference victory over Mitchell College 3-0. For the week, Bay Path split 1-1 also falling to Lesley 3-0. She tallied 12 kills (2.00 per set), eight digs (1.33 per set), three assists (0.50 per set), four service aces (0.67 per set) and three blocks (0.50 per set).
