PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Bay Path senior Julia Bendzin (Poetsenkill, N.Y.) led the Wildcats to a 2-0 conference sweep defeating Mitchell 8-1 and Lesley 7-2. Bendzin finished undefeated for the week, going 2-0 at #1 singles and 2-0 at #1 doubles. With teammate Kara Fox they won 8-3 and 8-4, and she defeated the Mariners' Julie Felts 6-3, 6-2 and coming back to overtake Lynx' Courtney Mullen 1-6, 6-2 (6-3 tie-breaker).

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK - Lesley University freshman Courtney Mullen (Springfield, Ore.) went 3-0 in #1/#2 doubles while finishing the week 2-1 in #1 singles action. The Lynx went 1-2 for the week, beating conference leader Becker 5-4 and falling 5-4 to Mitchell and 7-2 to fellow conference leader Bay Path. For a first year program, Mullen has helped Lesley to a great program start. Her one loss on the week came from Player of the Week Bendzin, in a 1-6, 6-2 (6-3 tie-breaker).
