Becker Hawks Garner Both NECC Women's Tennis Weekly Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Becker senior Allison Flynn (Wilmington, Mass.) led her team to 2-0 week defeating both Albertus Magnus and Anna Maria 9-0.  She won her #1 singles matches 6-1, 6-1 and 6-0, 6-1. In #1 doubles action, she teamed with Shauna McNally to win 8-2 against Dowen and Maurer of Albertus Magnus and partnered with Catherin Sivret in the 8-0 shut-out of Anna Maria's tandem of Gregoire and Dziokonski.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK - Becker freshman Megan Nessen (Levittown, Penn.) helped her team to a 2-0 week improving to a 5-4 overall record. She teamed with Stephanie Sabolik at the #2 doubles position to defeat their opponents 8-0 and 8-1 respectively. Against Albertus Magnus, Nessen easily won her #2 singles match 6-1, 6-0 against Harrison and shut out Anna Maria's Marchard 6-0, 6-0 at the #3 singles.
