In their first ever postseason appearance, the Lesley University womens soccer team lost to Keene State College 5-0 in the Quarterfinals of the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Tournament. The Lynx end their 2009 season with a record of 15-5-1 (8-0 NECC), one win shy of their program best 16 wins in 2008.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. Jodi Fralick (WOBURN, Mass./Woburn) scored two goals and the #1 Lesley University (15-4-1, 8-0 NECC) backfield limited their opponents to just four shots as the Lynx captured the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) womens soccer championship with a 3-1 victory over #3 Mitchell College (8-11, 6-2 NECC). For Lesley, it was their first conference championship in program history.

Fralick, Gunseth, Ryder and Vasconcelos Earn NECC Top Awards ATTLEBORO, Mass. All nine sponsored programs were represented on 2009 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Womens Soccer All-Conference Team, it was announced today by Commissioner Del Malloy. In addition to the All-NECC honors, four separate major individual award winners and the team sportsmanship award were also voted upon and selected this week.

The #3 Mitchell College Mariners upset the #2 Elms College Blazers, the NECC reigning champions, 3-2 tonight at Leary Field in the 2009 Women's Soccer Championship semifinals.
