Hurd, Lang and Dunay Notch NECC Women's Soccer Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Daniel Webster junior forward Erin Hurd (Centerville, Mass.) notched seven points on a 2-0 week for the Eagles. In a hard fought battle against regional opponent Regis, Hurd scored the game tying goal with 44 seconds left in regulation playing time to draw an overtime battle. The Eagles won 2-1 in the single OT action against Regis. In their second match of the week, she chipped in two goals and two assists in a shut-out of conference opponent Southern Vermont routing them 6-0.

 

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK - Fellow Eagle freshman midfielder Kacie Lang (Raymond, N.H.) notched the game winning goal against Regis in single overtime action notching the win 2-1. Lang helped her team to a 2-0 weekly record with a conference win against Southern Vermont.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK - Lesley University freshman defender Savannah Dunay (Effort, Pa.) displayed tough defensive abilities in the back-line as the Lynx went 1-0-1 on the week. The Lynx tied regional foes Gordon 1-1 in double overtime action. Dunay notched her first collegiate goal in a 6-0 shut-out of NECC opponent Becker College.
