Daniel Webster Unable to Host SemiFinals in Women's Basketball Due to Storm
ATTLEBORO, Mass.- Tonight's 2010 NECC Women's Basketball Championship semifinals will be moved to two different venues due to host Daniel Webster College's loss of power and considerable damage from yesterday's storm.
The storm caused considerable amount of wind damage yesterday along the North Shore of Massachusetts and Southern nad Central New Hampshire. Due to storm damage and loss of power on the campus of Daniel Webster tonight's semifinal actions will be moved to participating sites. #4 Elms College will host #1 Daniel Webster in Chicopee, Mass. at a 7:00 p.m. start time, while #3 Mitchell College will travel to #2 Lesley University to play at Buckingham, Browne and Nichols in Cambridge, Mass.
The Championship game will be played at the highest remaining seed. The site and game time will be known prior to the start of tonight's games.
