PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Mitchell College freshman guard Kaylee Cerruto (Torrington, Conn.) led the Mariners to a conference victory 72-57 over Southern Vermont in a 1-1 week. Cerruto had a stellar performance against the Mountaineers with 17 points and a career-high eight assists. She tallied 18.0 points per game and 2.5 rebounds per game along with a 4.5 assists and 2.0 steals for the week. For her two games, Cerruto shot 57% (13-for-23) from the field, 54% (8-for-15) from behind the arc and 50% (2-for-4) from the charity stripe.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK - For the second straight week, Newbury College freshman center Catherine O'Connell (Quincy, Mass.) has been awarded the Rookie of the Week honor. Despite a tough 70-68 loss against Gordon, O'Connell led the Nighthawks with a tremendous double-double shelling out 17 points and pulling down 19 rebounds, while chipping in two assists. For the week, she shot 44% (8-for-18) from the field and 33% (1-for-3) from the line.
