Harris and O'Connell Pick Up Valentine's Weekly Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Mitchell College sophomore forward Destiney Harris (Bristol, Conn.) led the Mariners to a 3-0 week. Harris averaged 21.3 points, 9.3 rebounds, 0.3 assists, 0.7 blocks and 4.3 steals for the week. She had 19 points and 11 steals against Bay Path (61-39), 24 points in an upset over Daniel Webster (89-82) and another double double with 21 points and 11 boards in an overtime win against Elms (81-73). For the three game NECC series, she shot 50% (22-for-44) from the field, 50% (1-for-2) from the arc and 79% (19-for-24) from the charity stripe.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK -Newbury College freshman center Catherine O'Connell (Quincy, Mass.) helped picked up another weekly double double averaging 12.0 points per game and 10.3 rebounds per game.  O'Connell also managed 3.0 assists per game, 1.6 blocks per game and 0.3 steals per game.  For the week, she shot 50% (14-for-28) from the field and 67% (8-for-12) from the line.
