Chen Chosen as the 2009 State Representative Kevin G. Honan Sportsmanship Award Recipient

Amy Chen of the Big Ballerz team has been chosen as the 2009 State Representative Kevin G. Honan Sportsmanship Award recipient.

The award which is sponsored by Johnson & Papakyrikos CPA and Financial Planners honors the player who through her actions demonstrates one or more of the ideals of sportsmanship; including fairness, civility, honesty, unselfishness, respect and responsibility. The recipient is chosen by the Honan League officials.

Chen will recieve her award at the championship games on Tuesday, August 25 at 7:00 pm. Nick Papakyrikos (the sponsor of the award) and State Representative Honan will make the presentation at the game.

Amy a resident of Chelmford MA is a student athlete at Newbury College where she is a member of the women's basketball team.

The Honan League is celebrating its 22nd season in 2009 with 30 teams and 300 women participating. Schedules and playoff information can be found at www.quickscores.com/honan
