Fralick and O'Hara Earn First Softball Weekly Awards for the 2010 Season

PLAYER OF THE WEEK –  Lesley University senior catcher/shortstop Jodi Fralick (Woburn, Mass.) batted .429 (9-for-21) while leading the Lynx to a 3-4 record to start the 2010 season.  Fralick hit safely in six of the seven games, including two multiple hit contests. She slugged .476 while achieving a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage. Fralick was impressive rounding the bags going 10-for-10 in stolen bases.

PITCHER AND ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Newbury College freshman Katie O’Hara (Abingdon, Md.) hurled her way to a 2-1 collegiate debut for the Nighthawks. The freshman pitcher went 16 innings giving up seven runs, five earned, on ten hits for a 2.81 ERA. She fanned 12 batters and walked ten for the week.
