Lesley University Sweep 2009 NECC Men's and Women's Cross Country Championship Titles
CHICOPEE, Mass.- The Lesley University Lynx take both the 2009 NECC Men's and Women's Cross Country Championhsips today at the Chicopee Memorial State Park hosted by Elms College. Lesley senior male harrier Fran Cusick (Lexington, Mass.) and freshman female runner Noa Kupfer (Woodbridge, Mass.) were named the 2009 Male and Female Cross Country Runners of the Year respectively for crossing the finish line both with first place honors.

Cusick and Nunez Earn NECC Weekly Awards
ATTLEBORO, Mass.-Lesley University senior Fran Cusick (Lexington, Mass.) placed 7th in the Emmanuel Saints Invitational. Cusick crossed through the chute with a time of 26:43.17. The Lynx were 10th with a 273 team score as the first NECC harrier.

Cusick and Wilson Awarded Men's Cross Country Weekly Honors
ATTLEBORO, Mass.-Lesley University senior Fran Cusick (Lexington, Mass.) placed 195th in the massive All-New England Invitational held at Franklin Park. Cusick crossed through the chute with a time of 27:03. The Lynx were 44th with a 1391 team score out of NCAA Division I, II and III programs.

Mariners Sail Away With Men's Cross Country Honors
ATTLEBORO, Mass.-Mitchell College junior John Hoffman (Bala Cynwyd, Penn.) grabbed first place honors with his season best finish of 28:16 in the Post University Race. Hoffman led his team to a 2nd place finish with 48 points for the 8K. He was one of only two harriers to break the 29 minute mark.

Cusick and Nunez Share Men's Cross Country Awards Again
ATTLEBORO, Mass.-For the fourth straight week, Lesley University senior Fran Cusick (Lexington, Mass.) was awarded the NECC Runner of the Week honors. Cusick crossed the line 2nd out of 52 harriers with an 8K time of 27:12 . The Lynx placed 3rd out of 7 teams with a 68 score.

ATTLEBORO, Mass.-For the third straight week, Lesley University senior Fran Cusick (Lexington, Mass.) was awarded the NECC Runner of the Week honors. Cusick crossed the line 50th out of 262 harriers with an 8K time of 26:08 recording his personal best 8K time. The Lynx placed 32nd out of 37 teams with an 881 score.

ATTLEBORO, Mass.-For the second straight week, Lesley University senior Fran Cusick (Lexington, Mass.) was awarded the NECC Runner of the Week honors. Cusick crossed the line in fifth place with a 5K time of 17:25. The Lynx took sixth place out of eighth place at the Roger Williams Invitational.

Cusick and Gordon Nab Men's Cross Country Weekly Honors
ATTLEBORO, Mass.--RUNNER OF THE WEEK – Lesley University senior Fran Cusick (Lexington, Mass.) took home first place honors with a winning time of 27:33 crossing the finish line a minute and eleven seconds sooner than the second place finisher. In the 8K race at Fresh Pond against Lasell College Cusick raced a 5:30 mile pace.

Daniel Webster and Mitchell Share Top Spot in NECC Men’s Cross Country Poll
ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Daniel Webster College and Mitchell College have been tabbed as the preseason favorites to capture the New England Collegiate Conference men’s cross country championship, it was announced today by Commissioner Del Malloy. Voting for the preseason poll was conducted among the NECC’s head men’s cross country coaches.
