Siller and Murray Take Home NECC Honors Again

 

RUNNER OF THE WEEK - For the fifth consecutive week, Newbury senior Herrel Siller (Palo Alto, Cal.) grabbed NECC honors. He placed second at the Roger Williams Invitational out of 91 harriers. Siller was the first conference runner to cross the finish line with a 27:24.46 8k time. Newbury finished 8th out of 11 teams with a team score of 188.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK - Southern Vermont freshman Nick Murray (Hummelstown, Penn.), second-time honoree, placed 92nd out of 235 as the Mountaineers top finisher in the 13th Annual James Early Invitational hosted by Westfield State. He was the first NECC male to cross the finish-line with a 8k time of 29:46.78 notching his career best time. Southern Vermont placed 18th out of 21 schools with a score of 545.
