New England Collegiate Conference to begin play in 2008-09

Chicopee, Mass. – Nine colleges and universities from New England have formally announced the creation of a new athletic conference, which will be known as the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC). In 2008-09, the conference will be an officially recognized NCAA Division III member and will commence with regular season competition and championships in 13 sports.

Nighthawks Win the 2008 ECAC North Championship for 2nd Straight Year

The Newbury College Nighthawks men’s volleyball team has won the 2008 ECAC North Championship Finals today on their home court. This is the Nighthawks fourth successive appearance in the finals of the ECAC’s, and second straight Championship victory, having won their first Championship in the 2007 season.
