Beck and Martin Earn Men's Volleyball Weekly Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK -Newbury College junior outside hitter James Beck (Havre De grace, Md.) led the Nighthawks to a 3-0 week sweeping Daniel Webster, Emerson and Southern Vermont. Beck had 32 kills, ten digs, seven blocks, four assists and four service aces. He nailed a .566 attack percentage with only three errors on the week.  For the nine sets, Beck tallied 4.6 kills per set, 1.4 digs per set, 0.5 aces per set and 1.9 blocks per set.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK -For the third straight week, Elms College sophomore setter Mike Martin (Enfield, Conn.) earns conference rookie honors. He had 52 assists in the Blazers' 1-1 split with Lesley. For the two matches, Martin tallied 8.6 assist per set, 0.6 digs per set and 0.5 blocks per set.
