Blazers' Acosta and Martin Sweep Men's Volleyball Weekly Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK -Elms College sophomore outside hitter Yonalvy Acosta (Holyoke, Mass.) led the Blazers to a 3-0 victory over NECC opponent Southern Vermont. Acosta had 19 kills, six digs and four blocks. He hammered up a .500 attack percentage with only two errors against the Mountaineers. For the three sets, Acosta tallied 6.3 kills per set, 2.0 digs per set, 1.0 ace per set and 1.3 blocks per set.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK -For the second straight week, Elms College sophomore setter Mike Martin (Enfield, Conn.) earns conference rookie honors. He had 38 assists in the Blazers' 3-0 sweep of Southern Vermont.  For the week, he tallied a 0.7 kills per set, 12.7 assists per set, 1.3 digs per set and one service ace.
