WALTHAM, MA.- The number one seed Brandeis University survived a scare from eighth seeded Southern Vermont College in the first round of ECAC Men's Soccer action, Wednesday night. The host Judges scored a goal in each half to end the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) regular season champion, Mountaineers, season.

Newbury College junior defender Shaundize Moosavizadeh was selected the 2011 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Men's Soccer Player of the Year in a vote of the league's coaches. Moosavizadeh scored eight goals with two assists in eight conference games.

BENNINGTON, Vt.- The Lesley University Lynx won its first ever New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championship, Sunday afternoon at Everett field against the Southern Vermont College Mountaineers. Lesley used two goals in each half, and an Ali Sozeri (Istanbul, Turkey) hat trick to secure its NCAA berth.

Junior Ari Sinanis's (Guilford, Conn.) penalty kick with just over 31 minutes remaining in regulation snapped a 1-1 tie and NECC scoring leader Ali Sozeri (Istanbul, Turkey) added an insurance tally with 22 minutes to go as third-seeded Lesley downed second-seeded and host Daniel Webster, 3-1 in a New England Collegiate Conference men's soccer semifinal at bluster Eagle Field Friday.

BENNINGTON, VT- Senior mid-fielder Noah Massucci (Craftsbury, VT) contributed on all four of the Southern Vermont goals, Friday afternoon. Massucci led the host Mountaineers to a 4-1 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) semi-final victory, over fifth seeded Elms College. Massucci scored two second half goals and had two second half assists for the Mountaineers in the win.

The Mountaineers used two Noah Massucci (Craftsbury, Vt.) second half goals to beat the Lesley Lynx 2-1, at Everett Field. The Mountaineers, 10-4-1 and 6-0-1 in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) play, need a win or tie Saturday against Wheelock College in order to win the regular season crown.
