Mitchell Sweeps NECC Weekly Men's Soccer Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Mitchell College junior forward Jamie Serrano (Clinton, Conn.) led his team to a 2-0 undefeated week. Serrano scored the game winner in a 2-0 shutout of Emmanuel, while doubling his efforts and netting both goals in a 2-0 victory over NECC opponent Elms College. For the week, he tallied six points and two game winners.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK- Fellow Mitchell College freshman defender Matt Grandy (Meriden, Conn.) led the back field efforts for the Mariners' during their 2-0 shutout week. Grandy helped his team to a 2-0 victory over Emmanuel and a 2-0 conference win over Elms. The Mariner defense allowed only 13 shots on goal for the week.
