Elms Sweeps Golf Awards With Two Trophies
GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Elms College sophomore Phil Rurak (Wilbraham, Mass) guided the Blazers to team trophies for the week including a first-ever ECAC title in program history. Rurak claimed individual medalist honors shooting a 72 in the Blazers Invitational helping the host Blazers to a team 1st place with 305 points. Rurak came back and shot a 186 (78-78) in the ECAC’s pacing the team to a 618 score (314-304) to earn the top spot.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Fellow Blazer, Elms College freshman Henry Fall (Hapswell, Maine) carded a 75 for the Blazers Invitational as the #2 duffer for Elms. Fall then tied for second in the ECAC Championships with an amazing 149 (77-72) including par on day two of the event. He helped the Blazers to two team trophies for the week including a first-ever ECAC title in program history.
