Young and DiFranco Named Player and Rookie of the Week for Golf

GOLFER OF THE WEEK – Babson College junior Joseph Young (Westwood, Mass) earned Player of the Week Honors after becoming the medalist in the 2010 NECC Golf Championships after which he was named 2010 NECC Player of the Year.  Young shot a 74 on day one and the low round 71 on the final day for a 145.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK – Springfield College freshman Kyle DiFranco (East Hampton, Mass.) tied for 4^th with a 153 (77-76) at the 2010 NECC Golf Championships. Elms’ freshmen Kyle Simard and  Henry Fall along with DiFranco had a play-off to determine the NECC Rookie of the Year. After four holes, DiFranco finally prevailed, earning 2010 Rookie of the Year honors.
