Men’s Basketball’s Maldonado Named Second Team All-ECAC New England Region

CAPE COD, Mass. – Elms College senior point guard Juan Maldonado (Holyoke, Mass.) was named Second Team All-Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) New England Region for men’s basketball as announced by the organization on Wednesday.

Maldonado, who became the program’s all-time leading scorer and will graduate with 1,686 career points, helped lead the Blazers to its sixth consecutive 20-plus win season, its sixth conference title and its first-ever ECAC championship. Maldonado scored 525 points during the 2009-10 season and shot an amazing 45.5-percent from beyond the arc this season.
