ATTLEBORO, Mass.-The 2008 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) champions, Becker College has claimed the top seed for the 2009 New England Collegiate Conference Field Hockey Championship, which begins with semifinal matchups on campus sites Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. The Hawks (11-8 overall) earned the top spot in the upcoming NECC tournament after posting a perfect 8-0 conference record for the second straight season.

Sirchia tallied a hat-trick against the Wildcats while also chipping in an assist for seven points. The Hawks clinched the regular season top honors finishing 8-0 in NECC play; they will head into the 2009 Championships with the top seeded spot.
