Athletics: Daniel Webster Names Atkinson Head Coach Of Field Hockey, Women's Lacrosse Programs
The Daniel Webster College department of athletics has announced the promotion of Karen Atkinson to head coach of the Eagles field hockey and women’s lacrosse programs. The announcement was made by DWC Director of Athletics Robin Seidman.

NECC 2011 Field Hockey All-Conference Selections Announced
Wheelock College's Despina Savvoulides was chosen by the leagues coaches as the 2011 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Field Hockey Player of the Year. The junior forward tied for the league lead in points (13), goals (6) and game-winning goals (3) against conference teams playing only five matches.

Regis Bests AMCATs for NECC Field Hockey Championship
The Regis College field hockey team captured its first ever New England Collegiate Conference Championship with a 3-1 victory over Anna Maria College on Saturday afternoon in Weston, Mass. Cheyenne Genga (South Windsor, Conn.) scored a pair of goals and had an assist to propel the Pride to its first Conference Championship in any sport since 1995. The AMCATS wrap up their season at 8-12 overall while the Pride improved to 8-10 in 2011.

Regis College sophomore Christine O'Toole's (Wareham, Mass.) goal in the 24th-minute would be all the offense the Pride would need as Regis defeated Becker College, 1-0, on Wednesday night in a New England Collegiate Conference Semifinal field hockey matchup in Weston, Mass.

Bant Leads Anna Maria Field Hockey To Upset Over Wheelock, 3-2 in NECC Semifinal
BOSTON, MA – Freshman forward Katherine Bant (Johnstown, NY) netted a pair of second half goals, including the game-winner to lead the fourth-seeded Anna Maria College field hockey team over host top-seeded Wheelock College, 3-2, this evening in the semifinals of the New England Collegiate Conference Championship Tournament at Winsor Field in Boston.

NECC Field Hockey Championship Seeding Announced
Wheelock College and Regis College tied atop the NECC standings following regular season play. Based on predetermine tiebreakers, Wheelock will enter the tournament as the top seed.

Junior forward Marybeth McClune (Worcester, Mass.) scored twice, as the Anna Maria College field hockey team defeated Elmira College by a score of 2-0 at AMCAT Field on Sunday afternoon.

Freshman Tara Cowin (Newry, ME) scored three goals, for a hat trick, in her first collegiate game to lead the Monks of St. Joseph’s (ME) to a 3-1 victory over host Anna Maria College today at AMCAT Field.

Daniel Webster Chosen as Favorite in NECC Field Hockey Coaches Poll
Daniel Webster College has been chosen to finish at the top of the 2011 NECC field hockey standings in a vote by the league's coaches. The Eagles, who received four first place votes and 44 points, return ten starters including senior goalkeeper Amy Prince from a squad that was 7-1 in conference play a season ago.

Mitchell Baseball Wins NECC Title, Earns First-Ever NCAA Berth
NEW LONDON, Conn. – Top-seeded Mitchell College scored two runs in the eighth inning to take a 3-2 lead and held on to defeat fourth-seeded Southern Vermont College by the same margin in the title game of the 2011 New England Collegiate Conference Baseball Championship on Wednesday afternoon.
