2010 NECC Field Hockey Championship Pairings Announced
ATTLEBORO, Mass.- Daniel Webster College has claimed the top seed for the 2010 New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) field hockey championships. The semifinal action will begin on Wednesday, November 3rd at the highest seeds.
The Eagles (10-4 overall) claimed the top spot after posting a 7-1 conference record. The two-time NECC defending champs the Hawks of Becker College (8-11 overall) earned the #2 seed with a 6-2 NECC record. The Wildcats of Wheelock College (7-8 overall) will be the #3 seed with a 5-3 conference record. Rounding out the tournament field is the #4 seed Bay Path College (3-9 overall) with a 2-6 NECC finish. This is the Bay Path Wildcats’ first appearance in post-season play.
#1 seed Daniel Webster will host the #4 seed Bay Path in a 2:00 p.m. start, while #3 Wheelock will travel to #2 Becker for a 5:00 p.m. start, both on Wednesday, November 3rd.
The winners of these semifinals will then travel to the highest seed for the championship match on Saturday, November 6 at a 1:00 p.m. start time. All published start times are subject to change.
