Perks and Serchia Named Player and Rookie of the Week for Field Hockey

PLAYER OF THE WEEK - Elms sophomore forward Denise Perks (Blackstone, Mass.) led her team to a weekly 2-1 record including two NECC victories. She notched eight points scoring one goal against Wheelock in a 4-2 win and recorded a hat-trick against Bay Path in a 5-0 shut-out.

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK - Freshman midfielder Victoria Sirchia (Goshen, Conn.) chipped in eight points on the week for the Hawks. Sirchia, two-time NECC Rookie of the Week, led her team to a 2-1 record defeating Lasell 4-2 and Wheelock 4-0 only falling 2-0 against regional opponent Worcester State. She notched a hat-trick against Wheelock.
