Becker Chosen Preseason Favorite in NECC Baseball Poll

ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Becker College, the 2009 Inaugural New England Collegiate Conference Champions, has been chosen as the preseason favorite to capture the NECC baseball championship, it was announced today by Commissioner Del Malloy. Voting for the preseason poll was conducted among the NECC’s head baseball coaches.

Lesley to Sponsor Baseball for 2010-2011 season

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Lesley University Athletic Department has responded to the success of their teams and growth of their student-athlete body population by sponsoring their sixth sport on the men's side by adding men's baseball to begin play for the 2010-2011 season. The addition of one of the region's and nation's most historic games will bring Lesley's varsity sports total to 12, six men's and six women's programs

Becker Baseball Season Ends With Loss To WPI In ECAC Semifinal

Worcester, MA --- Senior outfielder Scott McNee (Falmouth, MA) mashed a three-run homer high over the fence in center in the bottom of the first inning, sparking top-seeded WPI to a 13-8 win over Becker in the ECAC New England Baseball Championship semifinals on Saturday afternoon at Class of 1893 Field. The win gives the Engineers a berth in the championship game at 4pm against the winner of the day's second semifinal matchup between second-seed Worcester State and sixth-seed Fitchburg State.

Castleton, VT - Fifth-seeded Becker College smacked three homeruns and scored the final seven runs of the game to earn an 8-2 win over the fourth seed, Castleton, in the opening round of the ECAC New England Championship.

BECKER WINS INAUGURAL NECC BASEBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

BENNINGTON, Vt. - In the New England Collegiate Conference Baseball Champaionship Game the Becker College Hawks beat the Elms College Blazers to win the Inaugural Championship 13-5 at Epstein Field. Sophomore Jairo Valdez (Lynn, Mass.) led the Hawks offensively going 5-for-6 and scoring three runs while freshman pitcher Cody Harmes (Strasburg, Pa.) got the complete game win.
