Perillo, Kiro and Pesino Earn Weekly Baseball Honors

 

PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Mitchell College junior infielder Jeff Perillo (Newington, Conn.) led the Mariners to a split against Manhattanville falling 10-18 in the opener and winning 13-12 in the nightcap. Perillo batted .625 while slugging a 1.500 percentage. He had five RBI and four hits including two doubles, one triple and one home run going 3-for-4 in the first game and 2-4 in the closer.

 

 

 

PITCHER OF THE WEEK – Daniel Webster College sophomore Kory Kiro (Goffstown, N.H.) notched an impressive 19-2 win over Salve Regina, which was the Eagles first victory ever against the Seahawks. For his seven innings of work, Kiro hurled a complete game six-hitter. He struck-out four while walking four batters.

 

 

 

 

 

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK –  Mitchell College freshman catcher Eric Pesino (Watertown, Conn.) helped the Mariners to a 13-12 extra inning win over Manhattanville. He went 1-for-3 driving in the tying run and the go-ahead runs with a single up the middle.  Pesino batted and slugged .333 with a .500 on-base percentage and had a perfect fielding percentage.
