Davis and Wilson Nabbed NECC Women's Volleyball Weekly Honors
PLAYER OF THE WEEK -- Mitchell College sophomore outside hitter Stephanie Davis (Ledyard, Conn.) earned the Mariners their first volleyball Player-of-the-Week honors with a 2-1 weekly record. Davis hit a .338 with 36 kills, 37 digs and 12 service aces for the 2008 start. Despite a 3-0 loss against Green Mountain, Davis tallied an impressive .519 attack percentage. The Mariners defeated Albertus Magnus 3-0 and Bay Path 3-1. She averaged 3.6 kills per set and 3.7 digs per set.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEK -- Daniel Webster College freshman outside hitter Amanda Wilson (Merrimack, N.H.) helped her team to 3-0 victory against Hesser. The Eagles are now 2-0 on the season. Wilson tallied five kills and 2 digs with a .231 attack percentage for the week.
