Swiderski, Coole and Prince Chosen NECC Field Hockey Players of the Week

 

CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK -- Becker College sophomore forward Kristal Swiderski (Warren, Mass.)tallied six points for the Hawks going 2-1 on the week. Swiderski grabbed a hat-trick against conference opponent Daniel Webster in a 4-1 win. She netted the game winner against the Eagles. Becker went on to defeat Anna Maria 1-0 and fell to Clark 3-0 for the week.

 

 

 

CO-PLAYER OF THE WEEK -- Daniel Webster College senior forward Emily Coole (Peperrell, Mass.) led her team to 2-1 inaugural start for the Eagles. Coole had five goals for ten points. Against Becker, Coole score the first goal for the Eagles in a tough conference match falling 4-1. Coole also scored the first and game winner in Daniel Webster's first program win 1-0 against Regis. She proceeded to score three more for the Eagles in a 7-0 shut-out of fellow inaugural program Bay Path. She also notched her first collegiate hat trick for a stellar start.

 

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK -- Daniel Webster's freshman goalkeeper Amy Prince (Hope Valley, R.I.) notched a 1.33 goals against average en route to a 2-1 start for her career as well as the program's beginning. She tallied a .810 save percentage and grabbed two shut-outs against Regis 1-0 and Bay Path 7-0. Prince faced 13 shots with nine saves in a tough 4-1 loss against conference opponent Becker.
