Leyland, Reeves and Derosier Chosen to NECC Men's Soccer Weekly Honors

PLAYER OF THE WEEK- Daniel Webster sophomore midfielder Chris Leyland (New Hope, Penn.) played the lead role in a 2-0 shut-out over NECC opponent Southern Vermont. Leyland netted both goals for the Eagles helping his team to a 1-1 week record. Daniel Webster only gave up two goals for the week against St. Joseph of Maine.

 

 

 

 

 

PLAYER OF THE WEEK- Lesley sophomore sweeper Tyler Reeves (Coventry, Conn.) was the key factor in a conference win over Becker College 2-1. Reeves scored both goals including the game winner against the Hawks, the pre-season favorites. For the week, the Lynx went 1-1 also falling 1-0 in a regional match against Gordon.

 

 

 

 

 

 

ROOKIE OF THE WEEK-Freshman Mariners midfielder Thomas Derosier (Killingly, Conn.) contributed to a conference victory over Elms 4-2. Derosier added an assist on the first goal against the Blazers. Against Trinity, he had two of the five shots on goal despite the Mariners' loss 7-1.
