Chetelat Named to New England Regional Team
Newbury College senior right-hander Alex Chetelat (Farmington, Conn.) was selected to the 2012 All-New England Division III Third Team, which was released this morning by the New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association (NEIBA). One of 51 student-athletes from across New England, the power pitcher became the first player in Nighthawk baseball history to be named to the regional team.

Newbury Women's Basketball Announces Incoming Recruiting Class
The Newbury College women?s basketball team is continuing to build upon the success they experienced in 2011-12. Head Coach Katie Greene, who will be entering her sixth year, released the names of seven student-athletes who have committed to Newbury for the 2012-13 academic year.

Baseball Makes First Trip to ECAC Tournament
The season continues for the Newbury College baseball team, who was selected as the fourth seed in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III New England Tournament on Saturday May 12th. Making their first ECAC Tournament appearance, the Nighthawks are set to play host school, number seed Endicott College (27-16).

Terrific Season Comes to a Close for Nighthawks
Senior Jorge Pimentel, who pitched the Nighthawks in to the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) title game on Saturday against Elms, led three Nighthawks to be named to the All-Tournament Team. Junior Matthew Clawson and sophomore Michael Dwyer were also named to the team following a 6-2 loss to Daniel Webster College on the final day of the NECC tournament.

Senior right-hander Jorge Pimentel (Winsted, Conn.) kept the Nighthawks New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) title dreams alive, tossing his second complete game of the season allow just one earned run on six hits in a 4-1 victory over Elms College in the Nighthawks second game of the afternoon on Saturday.
