Wheelock Hosts Walk 4 Haiti on Sunday, March 28

BOSTON, Mass. - Join the Wheelock field hockey team and members of the athletic department as they sponsor the Walk 4 Haiti 5K on Sunday, March 28, 2010 begin-ning at 10:00 am in the CCSR green.

The Wheelock field hockey team, in cooperation with the American Red Cross, is asking participants to pre-register either individually, or as a team, with a five dollar registration fee per person. Those interested may sign up in the Student Life Office, or with any mem-ber of the field hockey team.    

The first 200 registrants will receive a t-shirt, and all proceeds will benefit the American Red Cross. Checks can be made payable to the American Red Cross: Haiti Relief & Development Fund.     

Anyone who wishes to volunteer for the event should contact field hockey players Milbrey Hendrix or Meredith Race; or field hockey head coach Kyoungho Koh. "" said Coach Koh. It is through this that we invite you, our Wheelock College community to come out to walk whether it be in teams or as individuals."
