Eagles Raise Over $500 For Research As Part Of "Think Pink" Efforts

NASHUA, N.H.- The Daniel Webster College women's basketball team raised a total of $511.00 as part of its annual "Think Pink" Breast Cancer Awareness fundraiser as part of the Eagles' 78-37 New England Collegiate Conference victory over Wheelock College this past February 13th.
"We are extremely proud of the efforts of our team in supporting this great cause," said Director of Athletics John Griffith. "Their dedication to this cause shows not only their commitment to success on the court, but also commitment off of it in raising funds for breast cancer research."
The Eagles provided pink tee shirts and - along with members of Wheelock's program - wore pink as part of their uniforms for the day while raising funds at the door and throughout the contest.
The Eagles are currently enjoying their best season in program history with a 20-5 overall record and recently clinched the New England Collegiate Conference regular season championship with a 14-1 record. The title marks the first of its kind in program history.
The Eagles will be back in action on Friday, February 26th when they host either Becker College or Elms College in the final four the NECC championship tournament at 6:00 p.m. Should the Eagles win, they would play for the NECC title on Saturday, February 27th at 2:00 p.m.
