Bay Path Hosts Women and Girls' in Sports Day with a "PINK OUT" Twist

HOLYOKE, Mass.-- Despite the snow, fans came out and showed their true color PINK! Bay Path College hosted Wheelock College in New England Collegiate Conference women's basketball action. The Wildcats presented a "PINK OUT" twist to tonight's festivities honoring current and future collegiate female student-athletes.

Bay Path's annual "Women and Girls' in Sports Day" brings recognition to women's athletics as Bay Path remains one of the few all-female institutions of higher education in the nation. To coincide with the New England Collegiate Conference's Student Athlete Advisory Committee's (SAAC) chosen charity for the 2008-2009 year, the Wildcats showed their support by selling conference "Pink Out" T-Shirts to help raise funds conference-wide.

Both Bay Path and Wheelock women's basketball teams showed their support by wearing the "Pink Out" t-shirt as their warm-up jerseys during  pre-game. Students and fans were also encouraged to show their "pink" colors to increase breast cancer awareness.
